Cat Waiter Studios, like many hastily created business ventures and quite a few babies, was born during the COVID lockdown in 2020. I’m a standup comedian and former caricature artist with a background in film, graphic design, and illustration. With live gigs cancelled and compulsory indoor time, I was able to sit still and learn a lot of the techniques I’d been wanting to for years.
I started with a few shorts which led to a streak of freelance projects and work on larger productions. Since making a pivot to animation, I’ve produced projects with an array of independent artists, non-profits, and record labels, and worked in the pipeline on broadcast-level productions. I’ve produced small campaigns on my own and put together a small team for some of the bigger ones. It’s all been fun, and every project presents a new challenge.
I’m always on the lookout for projects to anchor me at my desk for a while. If you think whatever story you’re trying to tell could benefit from some character driven, organic animation, you’re probably right, and I’d love to talk further.
