“Before We Get Started” is a feature-length documentary about the little known world of the audience warm-up comic. The doc featured interviews with some incredible names like Leslie Jones, Bob Saget, Howie Mandel, and more. When you’ve got a cast of characters with wild stories, a talking head can only do so much and footage of the event, if it ever existed in the first place, was destroyed to protect the innocent. Dropping in some animation levels up the whole narrative, filling in the gaps and keeping the viewer engaged.
